Here is just a sample of what you will learn at this webinar:

  • What you can do immediately to avoid the most common claim denials
  • The leading cause for denials across all specialties
  • Why claims management is a balance of quantity and quality, and how to strike the right balance in your practice
  • What tools and support you need to avoid 2nd denials, including crafting appeals letters, and organizing supporting medical records
  • What need to be done to submit an effective appeal?
  • How you can guide the reader through the maze of medical records to ensure that they see what you need them to see.
  • What “additional supporting documentation” might the carrier be asking for to support the submitted charges?
  • What role does the patient play in getting a specific service paid by their insurance carrier?
  • What can be managed by the billing department and what truly needs the eye of a coder?
  • When is it appropriate for a biller to review the diagnosis codes assigned and make corrections?
  • When is it necessary for a certified coder to review the medical record and make any adjustments to the codes originally assigned?
  • What other coding related tasks can be assigned to the billing team expediting a corrected claim or appeal?
  • Which tasks or corrections must always be reviewed/approved by the coding team?
  • Are there edits – human or system – that can be put in place to reduce the odds of getting an initial denial?
  • And MUCH MORE!
